Recall of Almond Breeze in 28 States

“Although the almond milk is processed on a separate line and filler and we confirmed that the allergen control protocol all standard validation testing was conducted in accordance with our allergen control program, this particular batch of almond milk was contaminated with one container of milk through an employee error,” a representative said in an email to CBS News. “Hood made the decision to recall all of the product from this batch as a precaution.”

Basically someone in the factory in Lynnfield, Ma. goofed and somehow mixed cow's milk with almond milk. So far there has been very little allergic reactions, at least that have been reported in association with this unexpended blending. Personally, I don't think anything should be called milk if it doesn't actually come from an animal that produces milk. Right around the area of 150,000 half-gallon cartons of Almond Breeze has been recalled.

HP Hood also known for Lactaid and Crowley has been double dipping. Hood has been actively selling various types of milk on both sides of the fence, unfortunately, some oil spilled into the water. There are thousands upon thousands of people out their right now, vegans, vegetarians, etc. who are having a healthy dose of milk right now and loving it not realizing they are digesting the same they swore off. Unless you have a really bad allergy to milk you shouldn't worry about it too much. However, if you are lactose intolerant and just had a huge bowl of your favorite vegan cereal, be sure to have lots of toilet paper.
