Not only was "Big Man" the co-founder of the Black Panther Party for Self Defense, he was Dj, an author and an activist. He survived the police brutalities and vicious fights for civil justice. He survived The FBI and their tactics to unravel the Party, surveil, and arrest members. Elbert has spent his entire life fighting for the simple cause of equality, love for his culture and advancement of his people. He will be missed.
