Since I was a kid growing up in Boston, there were always a few things you could count on. The fact that it will be below zero in the winter. Second, there will always be some place quiet by the ocean I can sit and get away from everyone. Third, the subs, pizza and island food will be on point every time. Then, there's the worst fact of them all. Guns will fire all through the day in Boston. I remember broad day shoot outs with the cops in Grove Hall. I remember directly after school there were shoot outs and robberies on streets I had to walk by, while I was walking by. I remember bullets flying through my window on the third floor (someone obviously had no aim). I remember way more, but I don't have enough time in the day to tell you. Another interesting truth is cops always show up to gun play after reporters and ambulances, even when the gunfire is right outside the police station. There has been great change in the look and feel of Boston. Although the cover has changed, it's the same damn story!!! It's so bad, the gangs, artist, neighborhood reps and some lobbyist have come together in some respects to make a change. The only problem is, the rest of the city hasn't received that memo. Boston is truly one of the greatest cities on Earth, but the Earth is being filled with too many Bostonians. Prayers for the city and the children. Hopefully a CHANGE will come!!!
