I could be wrong, but when people are diagnosed as hearing and being told to do things from voices in their head, they are usually committed. Not this guy. Jesse Duplantis from Louisiana has those offering plates in full rotation. He doesn't want to get the roof fixed. He doesn't want to feed the poor. He doesn't want to hold a charity benefit for kids. He wants $54 million to buy a new Dassault Falcon 7x business jet. If your stand on top of a the Prudential building, on top of Stone Mountain, hell, on top of a trash can, you are closer to the sky. Duplantis states that aircraft bring him closer to God. You know, since he's up in the clouds. Even though God is all around us, lift a rock and you'll find me type of thing.
68 year old Duplantis, I'm sure has received some backlash from this, but he insist that God wants him to purchase this plane. He implies that having a fleet of jets is a great way to evangelise the world. Besides the fact he's trying to live up to one of the last commandment, "Go ye into the world and preach the gospel to every creature."
He could spread the word and travel around the world like normal people, but he feels at his age, the friendly skies is the only way to go. Hey, if God is his co-pilot, what more does he need, besides a conscience?
